just when you think there is nothing this band can do to top what they have come up with so far -
they go and do it. this is just incredible. i can't believe it did not get more headlines.
considering the stones got so much covering simply for playing a show in stuttgart as well....
would have also loved to get a little more background information on how this was set up etc.

I'd love to know how the meeting unfolded at Kling Klang....
Ralf - 'Has anyone got the telephone number for the ESA?'
Fritz, Henning, Falk - 'Not on me Ralf, but I'll have a look....hang on....'
Ralf - 'Danke.'
10 mins later...
Fritz - (It's always Fritz), 'Yeah, it's +49 6151 900'
Ralf - 'Thanks. Give them a call will you and see if Alexander Gerst is free on the 20 July at 21:50, thanks.'
Fritz, Henning, Falk - 'Why is that Ralf?'
Ralf - 'I'd like him to play the intro to Spacelab when we do Spacelab.'
Fritz, Henning, Falk - 'OK, sounds like a plan. He's probably busy doing experiments and stuff and like floating about upside down.'
Ralf - 'Yeah, I know, but if he uses our Kling Klang Machine App on his iPad, it'll be great. Oh yeah, and if he plays a bum note, we'll get Serena M. Auñón-Chancellor to do it because she's got 'Chancellor' in her name like, Merkel but she'll have to play it on the spoons because she forgot her iPad.'
Fritz, Henning, Falk - 'How will we get this in sync?'
Ralf = 'I dunno, just like MIDI him up or something, and Falk, or Fritz (it's always Fritz) can fade him in.'
Fritz, Henning, Falk - 'Uh,...OK.'
So on and so forth... - cut to the 20th July and one of the most incredible intros to any piece of music I have ever seen.
